MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Financial information is being typed into home computers at a rapid pace now that tax season is underway. This presents an excellent opportunity for scammers to use phishing schemes to try to get money and personal information from unsuspecting victims.
Around 2.4 million Americans are targeted by these sorts of folks every year.
We were joined by Chris Drake, CTO of iconectiv to discuss ways to spot scammers, how to respond to rectify the situation if a scam is successful and tips about how to stay safe to prevent such incidents from taking place at all.
