Three Waukesha schools put on lock out after report of person with gun

WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- On Wednesday, November 15 around 3:11 p.m. a resident in the area of Summit Avenue and Greenmeadow Drive called to report someone in their backyard with a gun.
All available Waukesha Police squads responded to the area and set up a perimeter in the neighborhood.
Three schools in Waukesha, Waukesha North High School. Lowell Elementary School and Summit View Elementary School, were put on a lock out for about 50 minutes while officers investigated.
The person with the gun was not found after a thorough search by police.
Around 4:04 p.m. the lock out was lifted and the schools resumed normal activities.
This incident is under investigation.
