Three-Choice Enrollment underway at Milwaukee Public Schools

MILWAUKEE -- Are you looking for a new school for your child this fall?

The Milwaukee Public Schools district is encouraging families to take advantage of the Three-Choice Enrollment process.

The process isn't just for new district students.

Parents of 8th grade students moving to high school, for example, are also encouraged to learn more about the process..

It's recommended parents get their three-choice forms in by February 21 before enrollment moves to a first-come, first-served process.

Forms can be completed online, at any MPS school or MPS District Parent Resource Center.

MPS will mail letters March 10-14 to families who have filled out a Three-Choice Enrollment application, showing the  school where each child is enrolled. The majority of families receive one of their top-three school choices.

MPS media manager Tony Tagliavia joined the CBS 58 Morning News to explain the enrollment process and discuss the various school options, including specialty schools, ready to serve parents and students.
