MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Last November, CBS 58 brought you the story of Jaquawn Gaston, a Milwaukee-native diagnosed with cerebral palsy and dreaming of performing his rap music on a stage in front of a live audience.
Saturday, June 10, that dream will be realized when Gaston, better known as Rap J, will take the stage and Shank Hall for his first Milwaukee concert.
"These last few months have been like a full-circle thing," Rap J said during a live interview on Sunday's morning newscast. "Blessed to be here today and share this moment with you guys."
Rap J is ready to bring his music to life on the stage along with a message: be anything you want to be.
"I just want to let people know that it's okay to be vulnerable and that it's okay to go through things," Rap J said. "You can come out on the other side. This is the biggest night of my life and I plan to put on the best show that I can."
Doors for the performance at Shank Hall open at 7 with Rap J set to take the stage at 8. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. More information can be found here: https://shankhall.com/
