MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — Congresswoman Gwen Moore held a press conference in Milwaukee Thursday, July 9, after a recent string of ICE activity.
Local leaders took the podium, condemning what they're calling "violent, rogue actions" from the agency.
"The fact that communities like Milwaukee, all across this country, have taken the steps to implement these ordinances -- and why that happened in the first place, is because of the actions of this administration," Mayor Cavalier Johnson said. "It's because of ICE, it's because they have been terrorizing communities."
The main topic of discussion was the call for ICE reforms, specifically the removal of face masks while on duty.
