MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee's Deer District is growing. In addition to restaurants, a plaza, apartments and beer garden, the 30-acre space outside, Fiserv Forum will be home to a new hotel called "The Trade Milwaukee."
The hotel will sit right across the street from Fiserv Forum.

It's the newest hotel part of the Autograph Collection Hotels under Marriott.
Developers and leaders say the location is perfect for those traveling to games and major events in the Deer District.
President of the Milwaukee Bucks Peter Feigin said the hotel will continue to fulfill their promise of the Deer District.
A place to work, live, and enjoy. It will also bring a big boost for businesses in the area.
"This is going to add more energy to an area that we all know that is filled with energy," said Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett.
"Throughout the playoffs, the world saw the deer district become one of the most exciting places they’ve ever seen and we want to continue that. The trade will help. A beautiful 200 room plus boutique hotel will just continue to redefine this neighborhood and the entire downtown," Feigin said.
Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett says construction is ahead of schedule.
The hotel is expected to open early 2023.
