The Show Dome Opens Just in Time for Spring

After being closed for nearly three months, the Show Dome at Mitchell Park in Milwaukee is set to reopen today, just in time for the spring show "Garden Impressions" to go full bloom.

The sights and smells of colorful, fresh flowers have now replaced construction equipment. Crews spent about a month installing protective netting to catch any falling concrete after an incident earlier this year.

Director of the Domes, Sandy Folaron, says the netting will not ruin the experience.

There will be an information discussion on the future of the Domes Saturday. It's from 11-1:30 in the Domes lobby, and paid admission to the Domes is required.
