MILWUAKEE (CBS 58) -- The Lake Express Ferry has officially opened for the 2025 travel season!
The first ferry left from Milwaukee - bright and early around six this morning.
The ferry will operate daily with four crossings between Milwaukee and Muskegon, Michigan.
"We're excited," said Senior President of Lake Express Aaron Schultz. "It's been a long winter and as much as it's been spring for a little bit here, I think we feel like spring has really hit."
Schultz says they have a promotion going on to help families enjoy the experience out on the water.
Now until the end of summer, kids ride for free.
