Thank You For Participating in the UPAF Ride for the Arts Sponsored by Miller Lite

Some 4,000 riders gathered just as the sun was rising to embark upon a journey that for 35 years celebrates pride in community and love of culture  and  ensures that the Brew City's arts scene also gets much needed attention and support.

For years CBS 58 has been a proud t-v partner.

Bill Walsh and Michele McCormack  were there to send off the riders. Some went 75 miles. Others 45 or 25 miles and the family fun 10 mile ride.

Pledges raised by riders  go directly to the United Performing Arts Fund or UPAF, which then distributes money to 15 different groups so they can  focus on entertaining and educating our community.

It's also the only time cyclists are allowed over the Hoan Bridge.

It's a ride not a race so even the most capable cyclists took it all in stride.

What  a sense of accomplishment to cross that finish line.

You'll have to forgive us as we sing the praises of one and all.

If you missed the ride but still believe in the cause, there's still time to donate.
