Texas teen fired for expletive-laden tweet about new job

A Texas teenager's expletive-laden tweet prompted her employer to let her go before the first day of her new job.

CBSDFW.com reports that the teen was about to start working at Jet's Pizza in Mansfield, Texas. But on the night before her first day at work, she shared her lack of excitement online.

\"Ew I start this f*** a** job tomorrow,\" said Twitter user Cella, adding a string of thumbs-down emoji characters.

The store's owner, Robert Waple, didn't take it so well. After seeing the tweet online, the owner wrote back: \"And no... you don't start the ** job today! I just fired you! Good luck with your no money, no job life.\" His tweet was accompanied by crying emoji faces.

CBSDWF.com reports that it was the first time that Waple used his Twitter account since 2009, and his tweets have since been deleted.

Waple declined to comment on camera.

Jet's Pizza's corporate office responded: \"We regret to see the manner in which this situation has been handled by the parties involved.\"
