Good afternoon.  a 2-mile long strip of land along lake michigan in sheboygan county once home to a military training facility is now the center of the golf universe.  whether you're a fan of the sport or not...there's no denying that the pga championship is a big deal for kohler and wisconsin.  the last major of the season teed off this morning....  

you can watch cbs sports coverage of the pga championship this weekend on cbs 58.  and make sure to tune in sunday for a special edition of cbs 58 sunday morning devoted solely to whistling straits and the pga.  it airs at 7 am and then again at noon here on cbs 58.
