Terese's Flowers of Hope celebrates 1,000th bouquet delivery

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — Terese's Flowers of Hope reached a major milestone Friday, delivering its 1,000th bouquet to a person undergoing cancer treatment.

The nonprofit was founded in 2019 in memory of Terese Ulickey. Its mission is to remind people facing cancer that they do not have to go through the experience alone.

Ulickey's son, Zack, reflected on the advice he believes his mother would give to those currently battling cancer.

"Keep fighting and smile while you are doing it," Zack said. "She really did not want it to define her or change how she lived her life. She continued everything with a smile, and she spread that to other people she met as well."

Although primarily based in Wisconsin, Terese's Flowers of Hope has more than 1,000 volunteers delivering bouquets and messages of hope across seven states.
