Tentative Agreement reached in Bus Union Contract

The Milwaukee County Transit System and Amalgamated Transit Union have reached a tentative agreement.

“We are pleased to announce that the parties have reached a tentative agreement for a three year contract.  The Union Bargaining Committee will recommend the contract to the membership for a ratification vote on Wednesday, October 21, 2015,” said MCTS in a statement

"Thrilled we were able to come to an agreement that respects our workers and protects transit for our riders," said Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele in a tweet.

The contract will be voted on October 21 from 7 AM to 7 PM.

James Macon from the ATU said there are still working conditions that need to be worked on.
