Teens arrested after Attempted Car Jacking on Scott Street
Milwaukee County Sheriff deputies were flagged down by a woman after a group of teens pointed a gun at her and attempted to steal her car near 16th and Scott Streets on September 24 around 4:30 PM.
The deputy notified MPD, and deputies were joined by Milwaukee Police officers as the vehicle led them on a 7-mile chase that ended near 50th and Townsend.
The vehicle only stopped after becoming wedged between a parked car and an oncoming school bus. No injuries were reported by the driver of the bus or its five passengers.
There was one 13-year-old female and four males ranging in age of 13 year-old two 15 year-old in the vehicle. They all fled from the trapped vehicle.
The car they were driving was stolen out of West Allis.
All were apprehended by Milwaukee County Sheriff deputies and MPD officers after a perimeter was set up, and area witnesses provided information on direction the youth fled and descriptions.
The deputy was patrolling as part of a stolen auto interdiction unit, in cooperation with a request from Alderman Robert Donovan.
