Teenager Calls the West Bend Police While They Were Looking for Her for Truancy

While West Bend Police were searching for two teenage girls on Tuesday one of them called the police station.

The incident occurred on the 1300 Block of East Decorah Road at 2:30 PM.

According to police, officers responded to the area to investigate a report of a 13 year old female and a 14 year old female, both residents of West Bend, going to an area residence asking for a ride.

The responded officer determined that both females were truant from school. While officers were searching for the two females the 13 year old girl called the West Bend Police Department. Officers located the 13 year old girl in a stairwell in the apartment complex, and located the 14 year old female hiding in a locked storage unit of the apartment complex.

 The 14 year old female was in possession of items she had stolen from the storage unit. The 13 year old female was issued a citation for Truancy. The 14 year old was arrested for Burglary, Truancy and Violation of a Non-Secure Order, as the female had been placed at a juvenile non-secure facility on a court order.
