Bloody Mary Fest returns to Wisconsin
BROOKFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Schools have been closed for weeks, but teachers are making sure they're staying connected with their students -- not only online, but in person as well.
That was the loud and clear message from teachers at Dixon Elementary School in Brookfield.
Like other schools have done, teachers staged a parade, rolling through the neighborhoods where their students live.Â
Many of the cars were decorated to show the kids just how much they're missed.
"We probably have...I'd say 50-60 cars right now," said Principal Luke Sadowski. "Some families joining the cars, but everybody's just in their own cars. It's not carpooling or anything like that at this time."
The parade route was 23 miles long and for homes they couldn't swing by, families were invited to park along the route so that teachers could still say hello.
