Taxes in Waukesha Could Go Up

Taxes could go up in Waukesha if the school board approves a new budget.

According to the Waukesha Freeman, school officials blame increasing student vouchers for lower enrollment.

If approved taxpayers would see a $2 increase on a $200,000 dollar home.

Tonight the finance and facilities committee is set to discuss the spending plan at their 5:30 meeting.

The budget still has to be approved by the school board.

A hearing is now scheduled for September 14.
