Tax season could be one of the worst in history

You'll soon be able to file your taxes, but the IRS predicts this could be one of the worst tax seasons in years, both for the IRS and for taxpayers. It's because the IRS budget keeps getting smaller and the tax code keeps getting more complicated. Also, the number of taxpayers continues to grow.

This means that on January 20th, 2015 when the IRS starts accepting returns, there will be less taxpayer services available and possibly delayed refunds. Experts say about 47% of the calls coming into the IRS probably won't be answered during the filing season, and those that do get through to a human being will have to wait more than 30 minutes.
