In 1998, the festival opened its doors to the Irish Fest Center to provide a year-round facility dedicated to Irish-related activities. The Center is home base for Irish Festivals, Inc. offices and host to a variety of activities and events for people of all ages throughout the year. Our dedicated staff members, along with more than 4,000 volunteers, work year-round to bring concerts, lectures, workshops and Milwaukee Irish Fest to life.
In addition, the Center also houses the John J. Ward Irish Music Archives, a collection of sound recordings, sheet music and other Irish music-related items. Named after the late father of the festival's founder, Ed Ward, the archives promote, preserve and celebrate Irish music in all forms.
