Grafton (CBS 58)--It's a mind-body practice often described as "meditation in motion." And since it's a low-impact and slow-motion exercise, anyone at any age can try their hands at it. I spend my Friday morning learning some of the movements at Form and Fitness Gym in Grafton. As you move, you focus your attention just as much on breath control as what you're doing physically.
There are also numerous medical studies, some just recently reported, stating this gentle form of exercise can help with dementia, balance, strength, and even ADHD. The local VA hospital offers them once a week. Click here to see the schedule, and you can go to Form and Fitness' site by clicking here to see what Tai chi classes are offered.
