A Taco Monday in Wauwatosa this morning. Belair Cantina, the taco restaurant located on North Avenue, invited friends and dignitaries to help taste and determine what would be the restaurants next "charity taco."
For the remainder of the year, portions of the sales will help the Ronald McDonald House.
As part of their Powered by Tacos initiative, each year, BelAir Cantina chooses a local nonprofit to receive a portion of the proceeds from a special taco, with a guarantee that the organization will receive a minimum of $25,000.
In past years, BelAir has partnered with Playworks, the Urban Ecology Center, and the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts.
"So excited that our neighbor in Belair Cantina is helping us with this event. It will bring great awareness to our Ronald McDonald house that serves 2,300 families each year," said Ann Petrie, President, and CEO of the Ronald McDonald House.
The charity taco this year still needs a name but it features some interesting ingredients including mac & cheese, seafood, corn salsa, and more!
