Suspects use shotgun in Waukesha carjacking, lead police on pursuit before crashing into squads
WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Two people were arrested after a carjacking and police chase in Waukesha on Sunday night, Nov. 19.
According to the Waukesha Police Department, two suspects used a shotgun and physical force to steal a vehicle. Within minutes, police found the vehicle and a pursuit began.
Police say the chase lasted approximately 13 minutes and traveled through Waukesha.
The suspects pulled onto a dead-end road off Pewaukee and Northview Roads, and police say they struck three Waukesha police cars and one Waukesha County Sheriff's Department squad.
Both suspects were immediately arrested. A shotgun was found inside the vehicle.
Police say both suspects are not from Waukesha.
An investigation is ongoing. Charges are being referred to the district attorney's office.
