Suspect Leads Police on Pursuit after Breaking into Home

A suspect crashed into a Chase Bank’s parking lot after breaking into a home and a police pursuit.

According to Sturtevant Police, a homeowner found the door to their residence kicked in and a saw a suspect running from the residence.

The incident happened on Wednesday around 10:33 AM.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male wearing a dark jacket and glasses.

Upon checking the area, police officers located the suspect.

The suspect disobeyed officers’ orders and entered a blue Honda SUV and fled from officers.

Officers pursued the vehicle.

The pursuit ended when the suspect drove into oncoming traffic on STH 31 and struck a sign.

The vehicle came to a rest after jumping the curb and resulted in property damage in the Chase Bank parking lot.

The suspect was then taken into custody without further incident.
