Suspect in George Webb homicide arrested

MILWAUKEE -- Police say they have arrested the suspect in the George Webb homicide at a home on Milwaukee's northside.

The shooting happened around 2:00am Friday morning on December 20th.

21-year-old Reginald T. Evans was shot and killed during a confrontation with a customer.

We're told Evans was working and trying to remove an unruly customer from the restaurant. The customer pulled out a gun and shot the employee to death. The suspect fled from the restaurant and is still on the loose.

Residents of the east side neighborhood are shocked by this late night violence. Customer Andy Wallus said, \"It's senseless. It's the time of year when this should especially shouldn't be happening, but we've got all kinds of people that seem to be acting on impulse and not considering human life.\"

George Webb Restaurants released a statement saying:

\"Our deepest condolences go out to the family and we are truly saddened by the events that occurred at our location on Oakland Ave. We have confidence in the Milwaukee Police Department that they'll be able to apprehend the individual responsible for this.\"

The George Webb Restaurant will be closed indefinitely due to the tragedy.
