Suspect in Gas Station Robbery on W. Fond du Lac Avenue Found within Minutes of Crime

A gas station in the 4300 block of W. Fond du Lac Avenue was robbed around 5:45 p.m. on Monday.

The victim, a 23-year-old male employee of the gas station, told officers a man walked into the store with two handguns and demanded money.

The victim complied and gave the suspect money before the suspect fled from the scene in a vehicle.

According to police, the victim was able to give officers a detailed description of the suspect and the fleeing vehicle and within a few minutes the officers located the car in the 4500 block of W. Medford Avenue.

The suspect, a 35-year-old Milwaukee man and convicted felon, was located inside his residence and taken into custody. He had on him the money stolen from the gas station as well as the two guns used in the crime.
