Suspect in August 30 Homicide Arrested Following Chase and Crash
A suspect in an August 30 homicide was arrested by Milwaukee Police early this morning following a vehicle chase and foot pursuit. According to the MPD, around 12:15 AM patrol officers spotted a 2002 Chevy Avalanche wanted in connection with the August 30 homicide. The vehicle fled from officer and a 2 minute chase ensued. The Avalanche collided with a 1997 Lincoln on W Capitol Drive near 15th Street. The suspect, a man in his 20s, fled on foot but was found hiding in a nearby yard and taken into custody. He was treated for minor injuries suffered in the crash. A 23-year-old female passenger in the Avalanche was also taken into custody at the scene and treated for minor injuries. The lone occupant of the Lincoln, a 47-year-old man, was taken to a local hospital and treated for a non-life threatening injury. The MPD is continuing to investigate the incident.
