Suspect arrested in connection to Walworth County stabbing, victim in stable condition

WALWORTH COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 25-year-old man is facing charges in connection to a stabbing that occurred on Monday, Feb. 14.

It happened around 6:33 a.m. near Lawton Avenue and Barry Drive in the Town of Lyons, according to the Walworth County Sheriff's Office.

Upon arrival, first responders located a subject in the driveway of the home with multiple stab wounds to the torso. 

Lake Geneva police officers, along with sheriff's deputies, located the suspect on the property and took him into custody without incident. 

Officials say a charge of first degree recklessly endangering safety has been referred to the Walworth County District Attorney's Office.

The victim, a 28-year-old man, was taken to an area hospital in stable condition. 

Authorities say this was not a random act, and there is no danger to the community.
