Surveillance video leads to burglary arrest

Surveillance video of a car being broken into in an west side apartment's garage led Milwaukee Police to the suspect. 
The suspect, an 18-year-old Milwaukee man who had an open warrant for an April 2015 Attempt Theft case, was taken into custody. 
District Three officers responded to the 2900 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue around 8:35 a.m. on August 19 and were met by the manager of an apartment building who said a suspect was caught on camera breaking into a car in the building’s garage. The car had been ransacked but the suspect fled from the scene when someone entered the garage. With the surveillance video officers had a clear description of the suspect they were looking for. The manager said the suspect may have gone into another building across the street and when officers arrived there, the suspect opened the door for them.
