Sunshine returns to start the weekend

Folks in far southeast Wisconsin are ending the work week on a gloomy note as clouds and rain sit over the area.

Rain will stay south of I-94 today and taper off this afternoon. Clouds will quickly decrease from north to south this evening into tonight with full sunshine expected across the region on Saturday! Sunny skies will help temps warm well into the 60s away from the lake, but a northeast wind will hold lakeside areas closer to 60°.

More clouds will mix with the sun on Mother's Day as an area of rain and storms fizzles out well to our west. Wind will be more from the southeast, which will help temps warm into the low to mid 60s once again.

A taste of summer is still on tap to arrive during the first half of next week! Temps warm into the 70s on Monday with upper 70s to low 80s Tuesday and Wednesday.

A couple stray showers or storms will be possible early next week, but the overall forecast is dry and warm. Download the CBS 58 Ready Weather App to see the full 7 day forecast.
