If you've been waiting for Summerfest all winter, then this is the weather you want with it. Expect a gorgeous day down at the lakefront with highs reaching the low to middle 80s this afternoon. A lake breeze is possible which will likely cool down temps into the 70s by dinnertime, but still very pleasant.
There are a few weather models that bring in a cluster of storms close to southeast Wisconsin tonight. The best chance for that is after midnight and near the Wisconsin/Illinois border. Temperatures will still be mild for the Big Bang Fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Good viewing conditions are expected.
Despite the warmth and sun on Wednesday, humidity overall stays low. You will still notice a little of it with dew points in the low 60s, but the humidity really increases Thursday and especially Friday and stays humid through the weekend.
Rain chances also increase going into the weekend and with all the warmth and some humidity any storms that do pop could be strong to severe. Download the CBS 58 Ready Weather App to track that warmth.
