The Racine Garden Club is hosting six beautiful private gardens for its 2014 Summer Magic Garden Tour. Attendees will see many clever ideas from which to draw inspiration for their own landscapes. This year's tour features glorious perennials, annuals, ponds, unexpected use of tropical plants, stunning garden art, and honeybee hives. Although they are diverse in size and type, all of the gardens have been created to reflect the love of gardening and to be welcoming retreats. Owners will be on site to answer questions and offer suggestions. There will be a drawing for prizes at each garden. The tour will be held rain or shine. Proceeds from the tour will go to civic projects and scholarships for local horticulture students. Tickets cost $8 in advance and will be sold at these Racine area businesses: Milaeger's, Stein Gardens & Gifts, Personal Touch Flowers by Julie, Honey B's II Diner, Miller's Flowers, Borzynski's Farm & Floral Market, Real Racine Visitors Center, First Weber Group Realtors, Erickson Auto Trim, Sew 'n Save of Racine, Kortendick Ace Hardware. On tour day, tickets will be for sale in every garden for $10. Children under 12 are free.
