Sturtevant Woman Charged with Fraudulently Taking Nearly $25,000 in Public Assistance

A Sturtevant woman has been charged with fraudulently taking $24,791 in public assistance.  

Kristin Gleason fraudulently collected from 2012 to 2014.

According to the complaint, she received $12,116 in food share, $6,010.44 in medical assistance and $6,665 in child care.

During the investigation by the Fraud Investigation team, the father of her child said she lives in the same house as his family.

Gleason had filed paperwork that she lived by herself with her three children.

The father of her children was employed by a plumbing company the entire time frame she had received benefits.
