(CBS 58) – The newest Wisconsin Poverty Snapshot study shows 11 percent of Wisconsinites live in poverty.
Among the state’s poorest, more than half were spending at least 50 percent of their income on rent. The results show 1 in 10 Wisconsinites have trouble affording food.
The report also found the state has a low uninsured rate for health insurance at 5.5 percent uninsured. The average of similar states is more than 12 percent.
