Strong storms possible overnight...Severe Thunderstorm Watch Cancelled

The severe thunderstorm watch for Walworth, Racine, and Kenosha counties until 1 am has been cancelled.  The complex of storms that prompted the watch has weakened considerably.

Scattered showers and storms are expected to arrive late this evening into the overnight.  Locally heavy rainfall will accompany the storms along with small hail and gusty winds.

The pattern will be very active with the low-level jet fueling elevated showers and storms.  These storms will produce very heavy rainfall along with plenty of lightning and thunder.  Rainfall totals through Monday evening will range from 1" to 3"!  The overall severe weather threat is limited; however, an isolated strong to severe storm can't be ruled out.

Additional storms are possible throughout your Monday; however, with lingering cloud cover, instability will be limited.  The best chance for more strong to severe storms Monday afternoon and evening will occur along the border of WI/IL.
