The forecast has been pretty steady so far this August. Rain chances have mainly stayed in the southern part of the state near the IL border, especially the last 10 days. And high temperatures have mostly stayed in the upper 70s and low 80s. Fifteen out of the first 16 days of the month saw highs in the 70s and 80s. We did have one cooler day at the beginning of the month in the 60s.
Sunday was the warmest day of the month so far with high temperatures reaching the upper 80s in Milwaukee.
We have not hit 90 degrees yet in Milwaukee this August which is pretty rare. Augusts typically average three days in the 90s or hotter during the month. The last time we recorded and August without a 90 degree or warmer high temp was 2017.
This upcoming week looks like more of the same with high temperatures staying in the upper 70s and low 80s. Tuesday could be the warmest day of the week.
Dew points and humidity levels finally dropped a bit for the second half of Sunday. They should stay in the low 60s for Monday, much better than the 70 degree dew points we had last week. Tuesday will be more humid with dew points in the upper 60s but then the humidity level comes down again for Wednesday.
