State of Election in Wisconsin

The election is just 8 days away.

CBS 58 spoke with UW Milwaukee professor Mordecai Lee Monday to see where the state of the campaign sits.

He says there will be a big push from both presidential campaigns in the final days, as Wisconsin continues to look like a major battleground state.

Donald Trump’s visit this week could mean, Trump feels like he could win Wisconsin and is securing votes.

Hillary Clinton isn’t personally planning on visiting, but Lee called her “top representatives” could mean that Clinton feels strong enough she will win the state without being here personally.

As far as the recent Clinton e-mail controversy, Lee doesn’t believe it will have a major impact on the election since most voters have likely chosen a candidate to vote for.

Most have already has a candidate they will vote for.

Lee also expects voters will see a lot more political ads over the next week.
