WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Did you get to the State Fair this year? If so, you had plenty of company.

More than 925,000 people visited the grounds over the 11 days in early August, for the fair's 175th anniversary. 

We often compare attendance from year to year, but last year's fair ended a day early after the catastrophic flooding on Aug. 10.

This year, cream puff bakers sold more than 350,000 of their traditional treats, and adventurous eaters tried more than 32,000 "Birria Bombs," one of the top finishers at the annual Sporkies and Drinkies competition.

The fair says their team is already busy preparing for their 2027 event, which will run from Thursday, Aug. 5-Sunday, Aug. 15.
