State Assembly passes revenge porn bill

MILWAUKEE -- Revenge porn is taking another step closer to becoming illegal in Wisconsin. The State of Assembly has passed a bill outlawing the posting of revenge porn.

Revenge porn refers to situations where a former lover shares nude pictures of their ex through text messages or the internet.

Under current law, the only way people can get in trouble is if they didn't have permission to take the photos. Violators of the proposed law could face fines up to $10,000 and nine months in jail.
