Stanton injured as Brewers win

MILWAUKEE--Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton was taken to the hospital with a facial laceration during the Brewers 4-2 win at Miller Park.

Stanton was hit by a Mike Fiers pitch in the face in the fifth inning. The outfielder would leave the field on a stretcher.

Fiers would hit Stanton and Reed Johnson, although the latter not nearly as serious. Johnson's at-bat caused both benches to clear after Marlins catcher Casey McGehee became upset about the pitches being called 'strikes'.
