Meet CBS 58’s Pet of the Week: Bella
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Letter carriers in Milwaukee will collect non-perishable food donations on Saturday, May 10 as part of the annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive.
The effort supports Hunger Task Force and aims to restock local food pantries.
Scott Van Derven of the National Association of Letter Carriers and Jonathan Hansen, chief strategy officer at Hunger Task Force, joined us Wednesday, April 30 to talk about the program.
Donations should be placed in a bag near mailboxes prior to delivery on May 10.
The drive, launched nationally in 1993, is billed as the country’s largest single-day food collection campaign. Last month, Hunger Task Force reported serving more than 27,000 households across its emergency food pantry network.
