OAK CREEK, Wis (CBS58) --On Thursday May 23, hundreds of people at the Oak Creek Speedway gas station got their gas tank filled up for free! North Shore employees surprised drivers for one hour by pumping gas up to $50 dollars, handing out cookies and washing windows. Just in time for the long holiday weekend, Branch Manager of North Shore Bank in Cudahy, Kathleen White, says she loves seeing the smiles on people's faces as they come in.
"You want to share kindness. It's the easiest thing that people can do. Sharing a smile, holding the door open for someone, just saying thank you and please is an act of kindness and it just brightens people's day," said White.
The event celebrated the opening of North Shores newest location in Oak Creek and is part of the banks Kindness initiative.
