Speed and impairment cause man to crash into armored vehicle on I-43 in Sheboygan Co.

Wilson, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 24-year-old man was taken to Froedtert Hospital with life-threatening injuries after a crash in the town of Wilson. 

It happened around 10:14 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4 on I-43 southbound near mile marker 119.

According to the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office, another southbound vehicle witnessed the car traveling at a high rate of speed when it crashed into a Garda armored vehicle. The offending vehicle was sent into the median of the interstate and came to a rest. The occupants of the armored vehicle were uninjured. 

Deputies say speed and impairment are believed factors in this incident.
