Speed a factor in two car crash sending four people to a Milwaukee hospital Friday night

MILWAUKEE, WI (CBS 58) -- Four people are in the  hospital, one in critical condition, following a two car crash at North Avenue and 35th Street late Friday night.  Speed appears to be a factor in the accident.

According to the Milwaukee Police, the cars collided in the intersection as one vehicle turned onto 35th Street,  into the path of the speeding second vehicle.   Three young men, the 24-year-old driver, and the 23- and 22-year-old passengers were seriously injured in the crash.  All were taken to a local hospital.   According to the Police, the 23-year-old is in critical condition.

The driver of the turning vehicle, a 52-year old man was also injured and taken to the hospital.   The extent of his injuries has not been released.

The MPD is continuing to investigate this serious accident.
