Snow Piles Up Across Northern Wisconsin

The first significant snowfall of the season has arrived across parts of the state.  As much as eight inches of snowfall has been reported across places like Winchester, in Vilas county. The storm passing across the state is producing gusty north winds, triggering the lake-effect snow machine across the northwoods.  Meanwhile, southeast Wisconsin also saw the first flurries of the season during Friday morning.  On average, Milwaukee sees 0.3\" of snow during the month of October.  Wind swept flurries may continue for the lakeside communities through the day. A Wind Advisory continues until 6 pm Friday with north winds gusting to 45 mph.
