Small Apartment Fire Near 88th and Lapham

A small fire was extinguished in one apartment of a three story building at S 88th and W Lapham Streets.  

One apartment has smoke damage and two others have water damage.  

Because of the water, the electric power and gas to the building were shut off. 

The 18 people who live in the apartment building will not be able to return to the structure for at least the day. 

The fire was reported around 7 AM.

West Allis fire fighters were on the scene for less than an hour.
