MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Opportunity Wisconsin is teaming up with Ian's Pizza for a "Slice for Shot" event Wednesday, Sept. 29.
"Pizza for a poke, slice for a shot, whatever you want to call it," said Ian's partner and manager, Ryan Donovan.
The first 100 people who show their COVID-19 vaccination card at the East Juneau Ave. location received a free slice.
"I'm a college student, I'm on a budget," said Carson Harris. Harris came from MSOE with a group of friends, each showing their vaccine card for a free slice.
Kejuene Jennings with Opportunity Wisconsin said they're just trying to raise awareness about the vaccine and make it accessible for more people.
"I got the vaccine, not for me, I got it for the community and our community members." said Jennings. "So I think about the small businesses that need us to get vaccinated so things can get back to normal [for them]."
AMI Expeditionary Healthcare (AMI) is also on-site with their mobile COVID-19 vaccination clinic.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Opportunity Wisconsin will also be hosting a concurrent even with Ian's Pizza at their North Frances Street location in Madison.
Opportunity Wisconsin has been hosting vaccine incentive events all summer across Wisconsin, including their "Pint for Poke" event at Lakefront Brewery earlier this month.
