Sixteenth Street Community Health Center begins administering vaccines

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --- A local clinic is partnering with Walgreens to administer vaccines in an underserved community.

Sixteenth Street Community Health Center began giving out Johnson and Johnson vaccines, which only require one dose, on Sunday, March 14.

Organizers are encouraging everyone to get the vaccine as soon as they are eligible.

"This is the light at the end of the tunnel," Vice President of Operations for Sixteenth Street, Elizabeth Claudio, said. "Do it for no just yourself, but for your family, for the community, for the people that you work with, for everyone."

Sixteenth Street will administer more vaccines over the next three Sundays.
