LAKE COUNTY, Ill. (CBS 58) -- Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor Chicago is hiring for the 2022 season, including ride operators, lifeguards, and food and beverage team members. 

Employees get free park admission and a friend pass, discounts on food and beverages and retail, team member exclusive events and more. 

The parks plan to hire 4,000 team members this season. 

Those interested are encouraged to attend the first on-site hiring event Saturday, Feb. 19 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

Applicants should bring their Social Security card and a current photo ID with proof of age or a school ID and birth certificate.

Additional hiring events will be held on:

• Saturday, March 19
• Saturday, April 2
