MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee’s Silver City Fest, organized by VIA CDC in partnership with local neighbors, will take place Saturday, Sept. 7 from noon to 5 p.m. on National Ave. between 32nd and 35th streets.
JoAnna Bautch and Kevin Solis of VIA joined us on Thursday, Sept. 5 to discuss the event’s focus on community engagement and cultural celebration.
The festival, presented by the Ethnic and Diverse Business Coalition and AARP Wisconsin, is open to the public and offers activities such as live art, entertainment and food vendors. The event is aimed to be family-friendly, with activities designed for children and adults alike.
Now in its 13th year, Silver City Fest's goal is to offer a platform for local vendors and community organizations to connect with residents.
