A sculpture that produced a controversy at the lakefront in Shorewood is back in place tonight.
It's called "Spillover 2" and it shows a man made of letters looking at Lake Michigan. The problem was those letters.
Someone thought the letters hid anti-Semitic phrases.
The sculpture was taken down in November, but it's back today thanks to a small modification.
The director of materials and methods for the installation company was able to swap out at the artists request two letters. So nothing was removed from the sculpture, but two of the letters on the sculpture have been switched.
The artist said the words in question were not put there on purpose.
